Shards are a type of currency that are collected to buy items in Bejeweled Blitz. Player can collect them via the following ways:
- Bought with packs and bundles, with real money.
- Rare Gem bonuses
- Blitz Quest chests
- Chest
- Events
- Blitz Champions
These can be used to purchase the following:
- Purchasing and upgrading Boosts
- Purchasing 15 seconds Super Encore extra time.
