Bejeweled 2 Classic Mode Level 1

In-game music

Normal, known as Classic in the mobile and some Windows and Mac versions of Bejeweled, is the primary game mode featured in the Bejeweled series. It is one of two game modes in Bejeweled and a secret game mode in some versions of Bejeweled 2. This mode applies the basic gameplay of Bejeweled, where in Special Gems it cannot be created since it wasn't introduced until Bejeweled 2.

In Bejeweled 2, it is unlocked by hovering over the four game mode buttons clockwise eight times in the main menu.

The gameplay is basic, with only the basic gems are on the board and no time limit. The goal is to match gems to fill in the level up bar in order to advance to the next level. The level up bar increases depending on how many points that the player matched, the more points he/she earn, the further the level up bar increases. There's a hint button available and when used, it will reduce the player's score and decrease a portion of the level-up bar. The game ends when there are no possible moves available.

Gameplay tips

Try to avoid matches that result to no further moves by matching from top to bottom and if you can, make more gem matches. These will help you last longer and give more points in this game mode.

  • This game mode in Bejeweled 2 is the only game mode in the Bejeweled series that doesn't have any instructions on how to unlock it in-game.
