Bejeweled 3 Chromatic We need more Hypercubes and Star Gems. Bejeweled 3 Stellar

This is a collection of simple rules that make up the gameplay throughout the Bejeweled franchise except Bejeweled Stars.

No more moves

Gems being thrown off the board as a result of running out of possible moves in Classic mode in the iOS version of Bejeweled 2.

Bejeweled[]

Normal[]

Swap gems to make three same-colored gems in a row. Every move has to make a match of three or more gems. Clear gems to advance the bar at the bottom of the board for it to reach the other end and level up. Each level higher means you need more matches to advance. If there are no more possible moves left, the game ends.

Time Trial/Action[]

The progress bar on the bottom recedes to the left continuously after starting the level situated in the center. As you must advance it all the way to the right to level up, make matches quickly. The bar recedes faster with each passing level. If the bar is empty, the game ends.

Bejeweled 2[]

Classic and Original[]

Swap gems to make three same-colored gems in a row. Every move has to make a match of three or more gems. Clear gems to advance the bar at the bottom of the board for it to reach the other end and level up. Each level higher means you need more matches to advance. In Original, special gems cannot be created. If there are no more possible moves left, the game ends.

Action and Hyper[]

The progress bar on the bottom recedes to the left continuously after starting the level situated in the center. Every move must make a match. Make matches quickly to advance it all the way to the right and level up. The bar recedes faster with each passing level. In Hyper, the gameplay is sped up. If the bar is empty, the game ends.

Puzzle[]

You must clear all gems on the board by matching them or by detonating Special Gems. Every move has to make a match or destroy a Hypercube. If there are no more moves remaining, you must undo the puzzle. A cleared board is a finished puzzle.

You must complete four of the five puzzles per system to warp to the next planet. Try to complete all the planets.

Endless[]

Played like Classic and Original, except this mode never ends. Swap gems to make three same-colored gems in a row. Every move has to make a match of three or more gems. Clear gems to advance the bar at the bottom of the board for it to reach the other end and level up. Each level higher means you need more matches to advance.

Unlockable game modes

In some versions of Bejeweled 2, all of these modes are unlockable by doing certain requirements and most of them can be accessed by clicking the Mystery Button at the bottom of the Main Menu screen. They are:

Twilight[]

Swap gems to make three same-colored gems in a row. Every move has to make a match of three or more gems. Clear gems to advance the bar at the bottom of the board for it to reach the other end and level up. Each level higher means you need more matches to advance. If there are no more possible moves left, the game ends.

The board alternates gravity direction with up-to-down and down-to-up cycling with every other move.

Cognito[]

You must clear all gems on the board by matching them or by detonating Special Gems. Every move has to make a match or destroy a Hypercube. If there are no more moves remaining, you must undo the puzzle. A cleared board is a finished puzzle.

You score points by completing a puzzle. You score no points if you use a Hint in a middle of a puzzle. Complete all the puzzles and compete for the highest score.

Finity[]

Played like Action and Hyper mode, you must make a match on every move but it cannot be scored (including cascades). You can only be score points by detonating Special Gems.

Bejeweled Twist[]

A move can be matchless. The Gem Rotator rotates four gems at once in a clockwise direction. Make consecutive matches to increase your multiplier.

Classic[]

Match gems in consecutive moves to build the multiplier, and level up by filling the levelup tube to the top. Detonate as many Bomb Gems as you can before they tick down to zero or your fate is in the Disarm Spinner's hands. Doom Gem tick down every matchless move and if it hits zero, the game ends. Survive for as long as you can.

Zen[]

Clear gems to advance the bar at the bottom of the board for it to reach the other end and level up. Each level higher means you need more matches to advance, and level up by filling the levelup tube to the top.

Challenge[]

Follow every Challenge's unique requirements and complete them all. For each of the 13 planets, completing the first level of a planet will unlock the next level of the planet and then unlock a new available planet. Complete all levels of a planet to unlock an "Eclipse" puzzle. Try to unlock all planets.

Blitz[]

You have 5 minutes to score as much points as possible. Bomb Gems fall occasionally and if they tick down to zero, the game is over immediately.

Bejeweled Blitz[]

You have one minute to score as much points as possible. You can use any Rare Gems to play. Match quickly to increase your Speed Bonus and reach the Ignition Meter, for a chance to achieve Blazing Speed, where every matched gem explodes like a Flame Gem. Detonate lots of gems to earn Multiplier Gems and increase your score. Use Boosts and Last Hurrah to give it yet another boost. Try and top the leaderboard.

Bejeweled 3[]

Classic[]

Swap gems to make three same-colored gems in a row. Every move has to make a match of three or more gems. Clear gems to advance the bar at the bottom of the board for it to reach the other end and level up. Each level higher means you need more matches to advance. If there are no more possible moves, the game ends.

Zen[]

Played like Classic, except this mode never ends. Swap gems to make three same-colored gems in a row. Every move has to make a match of three or more gems. Clear gems to advance the bar at the bottom of the board for it to reach the other end and level up. Each level higher means you need more matches to advance.

Lightning[]

You have one minute to score as much points as possible. Match quickly to increase your Speed Bonus and reach the Ignition Meter, for a chance to achieve Blazing Speed, where every matched gem explodes like a Flame Gem. Detonate lots of gems to earn Time Gems to give yourself more time to score higher points. The Last Hurrah clears all special gems off the board.

Quest[]

Follow every Quest's unique requirements and complete them all. For each of the five relics, completing four Quests will unlock the next available relic, eight to recover it. Recover all five relics.

Poker[]

Match gems to turn over cards and make five-card poker hands and score points. Skulls will occasionally land to prohibit that hand being created. Make higher hands to score higher and destroy the Skull faster. If your made hand is blocked by a Skull, losing the subsequent coin flip results in a game over.

Butterflies[]

Butterflies appear at the bottom of the board and ascend one row after every move, swapping with the gem above and detonating Hypercubes. If a butterfly reaches the top row and ascends further, it will be captured by a spider and the game is over.

Ice Storm[]

Ice columns creep in from the bottom and rises to the top. Your mission is to either lower them by horizontal matches, flame, lightning, or zaps, or destroy them with vertical matches or lightning. Destroy columns and fill in the water tank to increase your multiplier and a brief space heater puff that lowers all columns. Once a column reaches the top, a red line rises. The column can be rid of the line and its adherence to the top by movements that disrupts that column. But if the red line reaches the top, the board freezes over, ending the game.

Diamond Mine[]

Dig down the mine by clearing gems just above it, or by blasting or zapping the earth. Clear below the line that marks the bottom two rows before the timer runs out to advance and add time. Collect as much gold, treasure, and jewels as possible, and dig as deep as possible before the timer runs out.

Time Bomb (Chinese re-release)[]

You must detonate as many Bomb Gems as you can before they tick down to zero. Bomb Gem count down every seconds in real time. They begin the game with 60 seconds. But the starting count of the Bomb Gem decreases with 45, 30 and 15 seconds, and the frequency of Bomb Gems appearing increases when you score more points. Match quickly to increase your Speed Bonus and reach the Ignition Meter, for a chance to achieve Blazing Speed, where every matched gem explodes like a Flame Gem.

Match Bomb (Chinese re-release)[]

You must detonate as many Bomb Gems as you can before they tick down to zero. Bomb Gem count down every legal moves. They begin the game with 20 ticks, but when you score more points, the starting count of the Bomb Gems decreases, and the frequency of Bomb Gems appearing increases.
